Autoresponders go by a few different names like triggered emails and drip campaigns, but essentially they are automated emails. They can also be a sequence of emails sent when one of your subscribers meets a certain condition. For example, when someone joins your list, your subscriber's birthday, or a month since someone purchased from your store.

You can do this automatically when a subscriber joins one of your subscription lists.

You can also do this for specific date from information stored within your own subscriber lists; like birthdays, renewal dates, last purchase dates, membership expiry or anything else that is date related.

Autoresponders are often something you put a lot of work into setting up initially, but may then only check on them occasionally. With that in mind, we've focused on making it easy to spot how each email in the sequence is performing over time.

This type of report means that if you make a copy or design change to an email in an active autoresponder, you can come back in a few days and see how that change is performing compared to the previous version.

  • What is an 'autoresponder'?

    An autoresponder is the term for one or more emails you can automatically have sent to your subscribers based on certain rules. You may also know these as 'trigger' emails and 'drip campaigns'. A common example of an autoresponder is a series of emails that are automatically sent to each new subscriber after they sign up to a list.

    The key is once you setup an autoresponder, it can run along all by itself without any effort on your part. You can of course adjust and improve it over time should you wish.

    Note: To use auto-responders you will need to purchase some credits before hand, as you'll be sending lots of individual emails automatically. After all you want each email sent automatically (that's the whole point), so asking you for your credit card details each time an individual email is sent is clearly highly impractical.
